have been used to feed coal to pulverizing mills in power stations and
other industrial applications. The general layout of a coal fired power
station incorporates large capacity coal storage bunkers above the
pulverizing mills. Each bunker has a coal feeder to feed & remove the
mills and discharges the raw coal to the mills, where it is pulverized
before being blown into the furnaces. The feeder discharge rate
modulates in accordance with the demand signal from the boiler control
system.
